Who We Are

Katie Stone Wellness is a boutique private practice located in the heart of Redondo Beach, CA. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents, teens and adults struggling with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues and more. We offer both in-person and Telehealth therapy options to help meet the growing demands for mental health services to residents of California, near and far.

Our Values

We are trauma-informed, social justice-oriented, body-inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming. We believe in meeting our clients wherever they are in their journey to wellness, with compassion and understanding. We believe therapy should be fun, inclusive and safe for everyone. We utilize a Health At Every Size® (HAES) approach to create a welcoming and non-judgmental space for all bodies to feel heard, supported and cared for, regardless of shape or size.

Our Approach

We strongly believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, which is why we utilize an integrative, culturally informed, social justice-oriented and trauma-based treatment approach. We’re passionate about the work we do and the populations we serve. We integrate evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy in conjunction with experiential modalities such as expressive art, mindfulness, yoga and somatic techniques. We utilize a Health at Every Size® (HAES), anti-diet, and intuitive eating-based approach to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space for clients of all body sizes to feel safe and supported in therapy.

Our Specialties

We specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occuring disorders such as ADHD, substance use disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, and trauma. Our clinicians are trained and experienced in working with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), orthorexia and other related struggles. We understand the confusing, scary and complex nature of eating disorder treatment and recovery, especially for parents, which is why we offer professional guidance, referrals, recommendations, resources and support for parents and families throughout the process. We view the eating disorder as highly relational in nature and are committed to helping our clients heal their relationships with themselves and others.
