We recognize the challenges our clients and their families face during the process of eating disorder treatment and recovery. Eating disorders are complex, pervasive and all-consuming in nature, making them incredibly difficult to treat without the support of trained professionals. Our therapists are trained and knowledgeable in the treatment of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), rumination disorder and any other eating related struggle that might not meet criteria for a formal eating disorder diagnosis. We are also experienced in treating co-morbid mental health challenges that often manifest in conjunction with the eating disorder, such as body dysmorphia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, perfectionism, people pleasing, sensory processing issues and more.

We understand that eating disorders are about so much more than simply wanting to lose weight. Eating disorder symptoms typically manifest as a coping response during a time of significant struggle, change or transition. We view the development of an eating disorder as a maladaptive, but effective way to deal with difficult emotions, people and experiences when no other options are available. It can be a dysfunctional way to find safety, disconnect from emotional pain or to feel loved and accepted.

Beginning treatment for an eating disorder can be a daunting and overwhelming process for the individual with the disorder and for the family members and caregivers involved. We’re here to help guide our clients and their loved ones through the process of recovery from start to finish.
